This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on the BrickFlow website (brickflow.ca) and app (app.greenkey.site). BrickFlow is a trade name of GreenKey Information Management Corporation.
The short version
- We set one non-essential cookie, for analytics, and only if you click “Accept”.
- If you click “Reject”, we set no analytics cookie. We count your visit using a hash created on our analytics provider’s servers that cannot be used to recognize you on another day.
- A small consent cookie remembers your choice for six months so we do not ask again. The app sets no analytics cookies.
- The app sets a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you logged in. No consent is needed for this one.
- You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Cookie table
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
bf_consent |
BrickFlow (first party), on .brickflow.ca |
Stores your Accept/Reject choice so the website does not ask again | Strictly necessary | 6 months |
id |
BrickFlow app (first party), on app.greenkey.site |
Keeps you signed in | Strictly necessary | 48 hours |
ph_<project_key>_posthog |
PostHog (first-party cookie on brickflow.ca; data goes to PostHog Cloud US through e.brickflow.ca) |
Analytics: holds a random ID and a session ID so we can count returning visits, sessions and page use. Set only after you click “Accept”. | Analytics (consent required) | 1 year (365 days) |
__ph_opt_in_out_<project_key> |
PostHog (stored in localStorage, not a cookie) | Records that you accepted analytics. Set only after you click “Accept”; never set if you reject; deleted if you withdraw consent. | Analytics (consent required) | Until you withdraw consent or clear site data |
| Cloudflare Turnstile (contact form) | Cloudflare | Checks that the form is submitted by a person, not a bot. Turnstile does not set cookies in our configuration. It reads signals such as your IP address, browser user agent and a TLS fingerprint and sends them to Cloudflare. | No cookie | n/a |
Note: when you accept, PostHog also stores analytics data in your browser’s localStorage under ph_<project_key>_posthog (same name as the cookie, kept until you withdraw consent or clear site data) and in sessionStorage under ph_<project_key>_posthog, ph_<project_key>_window_id and ph_<project_key>_session_registered_properties (deleted when you close the tab). Withdrawing consent deletes all of them.
Analytics data
Analytics is provided by PostHog Inc. Data is sent to PostHog Cloud’s US region (US East, Virginia), through a subdomain of brickflow.ca (e.brickflow.ca). With your consent, PostHog records page views, clicks, approximate location (city level, from IP), device and browser. PostHog keeps analytics data for up to one year.
If you reject, PostHog’s “cookieless” mode is used: nothing is stored in your browser, and your visit is counted with a privacy-preserving hash generated on PostHog’s servers.
How to withdraw consent
Click “Cookie settings” in the footer, untick “Allow analytics” and save. This deletes the PostHog cookie and its localStorage and sessionStorage entries and sets your consent cookie to “rejected”. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will stop the app from working.
Changes
We will update this page if we add or change cookies. Material changes will be announced in the banner.
